How to Price Pokemon Cards Using eBay, Cardmarket and TCGplayer
Use eBay, Cardmarket and TCGplayer data carefully to price Pokemon cards in pounds without mixing the wrong variants or conditions.

Price guides are useful only when the underlying cards are comparable. A search for a popular Pokemon can mix dozens of sets, languages, conditions and grades, producing a confident-looking number that is not relevant to your card.

Use eBay correctly

Cardmarket reflects a European market and commonly displays available offers and trend measures. TCGplayer is centred on the North American market. Currency, delivery, taxes, language mix and condition standards can make either source differ from a UK transaction.
Prefer a clean median
The mean can be pulled upward by one unrealistic listing. A median from a small, well-matched group is often more useful, but sample quality matters more than sample size. A single exact comparable can be better than fifty noisy results.
Turn the evidence into a listing price
Choose a range first, then decide where to list inside it based on condition, urgency and the buyer's delivered total. Recheck the market if the card remains unsold or if a major release changes demand.
