PSA
PSA has broad international recognition and a large population database. UK collectors should account for submission logistics, insurance, possible intermediary services and the complete return cost rather than comparing only the headline grading fee.
ACE
ACE operates in the UK, which can simplify domestic submission and return shipping. Its label options and UK community presence appeal to some collectors. Compare resale evidence for the exact card because buyer preference differs by category and value.
CGC
CGC is an established grading brand with a substantial collectibles presence. As with any grader, review its current scale, label generation, submission route and the demand for comparable CGC slabs in your target market.
What should decide the choice
- Are you grading for protection, display, registry collecting or resale?
- What is the complete insured submission and return cost?
- How long can you wait?
- Which holder and label do you prefer?
- Do real buyers pay a premium for this card in that grader?
Do not grade by headline value alone
Estimate the card's likely grade conservatively and compare the value after grading with the raw value and all costs. A low-value card can still be worth grading for personal reasons, but that is different from grading for profit.
